US LIFT EMBARGO ON DROP BOX VISA APPLICATION IN NIGERIA AFTER 32 MONTHS
The united state consulate in Nigeria has lifted the restriction on drop box visa or interview waiver for those renewing their expired visa
The interview waiver was suspended for Nigerian applicant in may 2019, according to internal source the suspension has been lifted .however the service is for those applicant that had prior visa and want to renew their expired visa.
VISA CATEGORIES
The drop box service is available to applicant renewing visa categories like B1/B2,C1/D ,F,M or J H and L visa applicant must satisfy all the following criteria for their visa class, even as a group or family
B1/B2OR C1/D -for this categories applicant must meet the following condition as listed below
1-applicant must have full-validity visa that expired within 24 months or will expired within 3 month
2-the applicant must be a Nigerian or resident in Nigeria
3-the applicant must not have being refuse a visa since the issuance of the first visa or had a visa revoked or required a waiver in the past
4-the applicant must not have a crime record in the united state, even the applicant has being granted a pardon
5-the applicant has never worked without work permit or stay in the united state beyond the permitted time
6-applicant must have a letter from the employer outlining the scope duration and location of job, that for c1/d
The same criteria apply for Lagos F and M visa holder and Abuja applicant with F1/F2while for J visa, the embassy stated it must be academic purposes
