HOW TO APPLY FOR A SCHENGEN VISA

The word schengen a name of a wine making town in Luxemburg, where Germany, France, Belgium, Luxemburg and the Netherlands signed the agreement for free movement of person among mention European countries. The schengen area consist of 26 countries that are part of the agreement ,while five are part of the EU but have their own visa policy e.g republic of Ireland

However there are nationals that don’t need visa to to visit Europe, while some need visa depending on nationals and purpose of the migration to Europe. in the blog post will be discussing the guild line and process one we need to follow in getting a schengen visa into the euro zone.

This is determined by the choice and purpose under which one need to enter the schengen area. you can apply for one of the listed visas

FIND THE PLACE TO APPLY

The applicant most find a suitable location to submit his/her application at designated visa center. in some country visa process  has been outsourced   while some  have their embassy or consulate present. however applicant  should follow the schengen rules in applying as stated bellow

a-if applicant will be visiting just one country in the schengen zone. Applicant should apply to the country of destination at their embassy or consulate

b-if applicant is going to be visiting more than two  schengen country, applicant should file his/her application at the country where he will be spending most of the time since time that will be spend is not equal

FIND THE PERFECT TIME TO APPLY

Applicant will have to make out suitable time file his application, due to the time schengen embassy need to process a visa .the allowed period to schengen visa are listed bellow

-the earliest an applicant can fill an application for schengen visa is six month before the planned trip

– the latest time allowed to fill an application is fifteen working days before  the planned trip but the most appropriate time to fill an application is  three weeks before the planned trip

BOOK AN APPOINT

Book an appointment in other to proceed with your visa application, booking appointment for schengen visa depends on the country of destination, some country book on appointment on line while some country allowed applicant to pay in cash at embassy or consulates

GATHER THE REQUIRED DOCUMENT

Applicant should gather all supporting document for the visa process, the document required are listed below

-the visa application form

-valid passport

-Two identical photos

-travel insurance policy

-flight ticket reservation

-proof of accommodation

– Proof of finance mean/statement of account

The document mention above are the general document required to process a schengen visa but some other schengen country my request extra document depending on the type of visa a one is apply for
